(Hartford, Conn., October 20, 2016) — reSET (www.reSETCo.org), which serves all entrepreneurs but specializes in social enterprise, recently announced that applications for the next edition of its accelerator are open through December 16. Tailored for impact driven businesses but available to all early-stage ventures, the Impact Accelerator was a winner of the U.S. Small Business Administration Growth Accelerator Competition, and was the only Connecticut accelerator to receive the award in 2015. The primary objective of the four-year-old accelerator is to test and hone entrepreneurs’ models, and to connect them with customers, mentors and resources.
Running from January to May, reSET’s 2017 accelerator will feature a flexible curriculum designed to help busy start-ups refine their business models in preparation for growth. Up to 20 entrepreneurial teams will attend four weekend summits and have access to:
The program will be free for accepted entrepreneurs and no equity will be taken from their operations. Participating ventures will also have an opportunity to compete for cash prizes in the spring.
“The quality of our Impact Accelerator’s programming gets stronger every year, as does the competition to get in,” said Ben Simmons-Telep, reSET’s Director of Programs. “We’ve already received a lot of interest in this cohort and we strongly encourage all interested parties to attend one of the information sessions that we’ll be hosting on November 4 and 29, or on December 9. All gatherings will be held at the reSET Business Factory (1429 Park Street in Hartford) from 4-5pm.”
reSET’s accelerator has graduated 62 businesses to date, and our most recent cohort alone has received $725,000 in investment.
